Relationships for Mental Health
For our 30th anniversary event, we’ll be focussing on relationships in and for mental health. We know relationships shape who we are; they shape how our brains develop from as early as pregnancy and throughout our lives.
The relational Solihull Approach model has a long history of transforming lives by strengthening relationships and emotional wellbeing. It integrates key psychological and psychoanalytic theories — containment, reciprocity and behaviour — into a simple yet powerful model that supports emotional development and relational health. Since its earliest applications, wide-ranging studies have demonstrated the positive impact for improved closeness and reduced conflict in relationships over its 30-year history.
One-day conference
Join us as we bring together passionate practitioners with leaders in public health, education and family support, to build on the impact of Togetherness, sharing ideas, expertise and connections to make a difference for our next generation of babies, children and their families.
We look forward to hearing from speakers from across specialisms and communities, all making a difference with evidence-based, relational approaches. We have so much to share and celebrate and have curated a day of lightening talks, case study showcases, research presentations and discussion built around the themes of:
- Understanding the foundations of mental health
- Raising children in a changing world
- Community approaches to emotional health and togetherness in communities
- Building a trauma-informed society
