  • Postnatal Plus Parenting Group Train the Trainer

    The Postnatal Plus Parenting Group Train the Trainer is designed to equip practitioners who wish to cascade, as part of their work, the Postnatal Plus Parenting Group Facilitators’ training to other local practitioners, so that those practitioners can facilitate the 8-week Postnatal Plus parenting group ‘Understanding your baby’.

    The Postnatal Plus Parenting Group Train the Trainer is designed for any practitioner who wants to train other practitioners to be facilitators of the Togetherness Postnatal or Postnatal Plus parenting group. 

    ‘Open training’ is delivered throughout the year for individual bookings to a cohort of up to 12 delegates. 

    ‘Closed’ training is bespoke delivered for teams of staff of up to 12 individuals within an organisation with a relevant resource pack. 

    The Postnatal Plus Parenting Group Train the Trainer can be delivered as ‘live virtual’ training or face-to-face training by Togetherness trainers, as required. 

    Once you have completed your training day, you will be a Togetherness trainer. When delivering training, our trainers are responsible for: 

    • Ensuring that those delegates they train have previously attended the 2 Day Foundation Training and can provide the dates, location and trainers’ names of that training 
    • Providing the Togetherness office with the dates and location of the Parenting Group Facilitators’ training and the names of those attending 
    • Ensuring that those they train to be facilitators have their own copy of the relevant Parenting Group Facilitators’ Manual 
    • Making facilitators aware of the need to provide data returns on their groups on this website

  • Foster Carer Group Train the Trainer

    The Foster Carer Group Train the Trainer is designed to equip practitioners who wish to cascade, as part of their work, the Foster Carer Group Facilitators’ training to other local practitioners, so that those practitioners can facilitate the 12-week foster carer course ‘Understanding your foster child’s behaviour’. 

    You will develop the skills needed to delivery training to others in a sensitive and professional manner and communicate the model and Foster Carer group delivery information to those working within the social work sector.

    Once you have completed your training day, you will be a Togetherness trainer. When delivering training, you must ensure you have: 

    • the Trainers’ Manual to deliver the 2 Day Foundation training 
    • the Antenatal Trainers’ Manual to deliver the Antenatal 2DF training for practitioners working antenatally 
    • the Fostering and Adoption Trainers’ Manual to deliver the Fostering and Adoption 2DF training

    The Combined Foster Carer Training is designed for any practitioner working with babies, young children and school-aged children, young people and their families who are looked after by foster carers. 

    ‘Open training’ is delivered throughout the year for individual bookings to a cohort of up to 12 delegates. 

    ‘Closed’ training is bespoke delivered for teams of staff of up to 12 individuals within an organisation with a relevant resource pack. 

    The Antenatal Foundation Training can be delivered as ‘live virtual’ training or face-to-face training by Togetherness trainers, as required. 

    There are 14 days between Day One and Day Two of the training to enhance theory into practice.

    The Early Years Foundation Stage Training integrates a knowledge of the UK Early Years Foundation Stage with the Solihull Approach model and is designed to equip Early Years practitioners with an effective approach to supporting families and improving emotional health and wellbeing for babies, young children and their parents or carers.  

    The training explains the fundamentals of early brain development in accessible, relevant terms to support a range of professions. Equipped with this knowledge and working through a series of real-life case studies prepares practitioners to engage families and young children with confidence and to make a real and lasting impact.

    Togetherness Postnatal Plus Parenting Group Facilitators’ Training is designed to equip practitioners to deliver the 8-week ‘Understanding your baby’ enhanced postnatal group, combining practical postnatal information with ideas to help nurture mental wellbeing from the early months of life.

    This training enables delegates to facilitate the group with another facilitator (two facilitators required per group). Facilitators will need a Facilitators’ Manual each when running the group, as sharing is not feasible.
