About this pathway
In this unique antenatal course, you’ll learn about preparing for labour, birth and connecting with your new baby.
The important relationships in your baby’s life help shape their emotional health and wellbeing. From the very start – while your baby is still in the womb – your connection begins.
This pathway has been produced by NHS clinical psychologists, health practitioners and midwives who have worked closely with parents just like you to create an antenatal learning experience that blends practical guidance with emotional support.
Along this pathway you will find lots of practical information about:
- Preparing for labour and birth – understanding your options, pain management, and hypnobirthing
- Postnatal care and recovery – taking care of yourself or partner after birth
- Feeding, soothing, and keeping your baby safe – tips for nurturing your newborn
- Breathing and relaxation techniques – to support both birth and emotional well-being
You will also learn about early brain development and emotional health in infants while being supported to reflect on your own health and wellbeing.
87% learners said they would recommend to friends and family
