About this pathway
This short pathway introduces ideas about children’s emotional wellbeing and explores how the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic—such as lockdowns, social distancing and changes in routine—may have affected your child’s emotional wellbeing and behaviour. Whether your child seems more anxious, less interested in previous activities, or is struggling socially, this pathway offers helpful insights to support their emotional health.
Our clinical child psychologists, psychotherapists and health practitioners will introduce you to ideas on children’s emotional wellbeing in just five short stages. This pathway is a gentle starting point for understanding your child’s post-pandemic experiences and can be followed by our more in-depth pathways, such as Understanding your child or Understanding your child with additional needs, for further guidance and support.
This pathway is for all parents, grandparents and carers of children of primary school age. Our pathway, Understanding the impact of the pandemic on your teenager, is tailored to older children.
