Frequently asked questions about our new name and identity

The new Togetherness identity and refreshed offer
We are refreshing our identity and recharging for the future, building on our history of impact and amplifying our reach to impact more lives. Togetherness helps us to communicate our offer effectively to all of the different people we work with, whether they’re young people, starting a family, raising teens or professionals working to improve outcomes. The improved visual identity work ensures our materials are accessible: we have chosen dyslexia friendly fonts, committed to an accessible colour palette, and hope to present a warm and friendly persona that reflects our approach.
Togetherness is the essence of the Solihull Approach. Togetherness reflects the connection in healthy relationships that makes the difference for emotional health. It is through togetherness that we are able to process the full range of emotions, develop resilience and build emotional intelligence. As parents seek to raise children in a changing, uncertain and unstable world, navigating their own emotional health, togetherness and understanding the theories in the Solihull Approach will help equip them with the skills to thrive in this context.
A new title for our whole offer: We’re renaming and refreshing our offer to respond to a rapidly changing world. We will continue to deliver training, resources and information based on the Solihull Approach model but under the brand name Togetherness. Togetherness will also house the offer for parents, carers and families currently hosted on inourplace.co.uk.
A new website: a new domain will bring together the two current platforms held for the Solihull Approach and Inourplace.
Enhanced offer: Our small team has been working hard to refresh materials to ensure they are fit for the future and this year we will launch new pathways for parent learning, recharge our school offer and build on our programme of multi-user licenses.
A new visual identity: a coherent design for Togetherness will help springboard our identity and offer for impact across the UK and internationally.
Who was involved in the rebranding process?
Our leadership team have engaged in extensive consultation over the past 6 months to inform the rebranding and renaming. Representatives from across the business areas of training delivery, commissioning, education support, parenting/family support, international licences and service users contributed to the development of the new brand identity. A public opinion survey was also conducted reaching more than 2000 participants to provide views on the name and offer positioning.
We want to raise emotional health worldwide for a kinder, happier and healthier society. Through the evidence-based Solihull Approach we are committed to providing accessible learning to help people and communities thrive throughout their lives. This vision remains the same one that motivates our team and the values outlined in our mission statement will remain at the heart of everything we continue to offer as Togetherness into the future.
The Solihull Approach is still the name of the model and way of thinking created by Dr Hazel Douglas and her team in 1997 designed to bring theories from psychology and techniques from psychotherapy into practice. We are changing the name of our team and wider offer as NHS professionals committed to preventative mental health.
The learning offer and resources hosted on inourplace will be transitioned to Togetherness and the new Togetherness website. Inourplace will then be closed to avoid any confusion with our brand and offer.
We are introducing the rebrand to our stakeholders over the summer of 2025, preparing to launch a new website in autumn. This will prepare us to deliver impact across our business areas in 2026 and beyond.
Working closely with our technical partner, Action Starter, we plan to deliver a smooth transition to the new website through a phased approach. Our current web platforms will continue to operate as we develop the new domain. This new domain will connect to the same systems currently functioning behind the scenes to deliver a high-quality booking, purchasing and learning experience and this will mean the technical restructuring will be minimal, maintaining functionality. Once the new domain is live, the other sites will be closed once all redirection links are tested.
We may need to implement a planned maintenance window for short periods of time during the transition, and we will always provide a notice on the website to inform users. Learners will be able to continue to raise Support Tickets, and we will respond by providing support, offering help to understand the transition.
Our Solihull Approach practitioners, trainers, champions and supporters are the biggest, most important part of our identity. We hope you will continue to support us as we refresh and recharge under our new brand. We want to hear what you think, how we can help and what you need to translate in your areas. Our team will be in touch with existing stakeholders with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, shape materials and talk through transition issues.
Customer impact and communication
How will this rebrand affect the delivery of Solihull Approach training?
Training will continue to be delivered in the way you’re used to and we will continue to use the solihullapproachparenting website for bookings until the new Togetherness website goes live. At this point the booking portals and online shop will transition to the new space. As part of our commitment to enhancing our offer, we are planning ongoing improvements to the booking service, onboarding for training and post training support.
Existing bookings, licences and learning through our online portal may start to look and feel a little different as we apply new visual design elements, but the content, commitments and contracts will remain the same.
Is there anything I need to do as a result of this rebrand?
Our Solihull Approach practitioners, trainers, champions and supporters are the biggest, most important part of our identity. We hope you will continue to support us as we refresh and recharge under our new brand. We want to hear what you think, how we can help and what you need to translate in your areas to help us deliver the impact we are aiming for. We hope you will feel proud to continue sharing our resources for real impact for children and families as well as your own friends and family. Please begin referring to our work as Togetherness from now on and take time to explore the growing offer on our new website.
Yes. You will still be able to reach us on our usual channels, but we will rename our social media handles and update our email address for enquiries to avoid confusion. We will share our new contact details once they have been confirmed.
Our phone number will remain the same.
Website and digital offer
The new URL will be togetherness.co.uk – you will find a holding page outlining our key information whilst we work on the new website behind the scenes.
Yes. solihullapproachparenting.com and inourplace.co.uk will continue to be operational while we transition to the new site. In a phased approach we will migrate the content and close the pages to avoid confusion. Redirections will be placed on all URLs to ensure any saved URLs or embedded links across our wider network still link to the appropriate part of our offer.
Redirections will be placed on all URLs to ensure any saved URLs or embedded links across our wider network still link to the appropriate part of our offer.
Will my login details and account still work on the new website?
Yes. The booking space for training and the online learning environment is hosted on HEIapply and this will remain unchanged. The web development work is designed to present the collective Togetherness offer and bring the current separate domain (solihullapproachparenting.com and inourplace.co.uk) into one shared website.
Bookmarked links, saved links and links embedded in other websites will all remain functional thanks to redirection work. We will however encourage you to update links wherever possible, to help us provide a consistent presentation of our offer, avoid confusion for visitors and mitigate any technical risk over time.
Your data is protected in transit to our server by an SSL certificate. Once on the server your data is protected by several layers of security to prevent unauthorized access.
