Lead the development of parent access to evidence-based learning in your community through our cascade training programme for postnatal group facilitation and help raise emotional health for families. Train the trainer sessions provide an enhanced knowledge of the Solihull Approach model and considers its application in delivering parent groups face-to-face in the community. This training enables the cascading of postnatal facilitator training to help upskill your team or workforce community to deliver evidence-based, highly rated parent groups with confidence. Togetherness parent groups are delivered with structured comprehensive manuals and resources to support practitioners and participants.

What difference will it make?

The Postnatal Parenting Group Train the Trainer is designed to equip practitioners who wish to cascade, as part of their work, the Postnatal Parenting Group Facilitators’ training to other local practitioners, so that those practitioners can facilitate the 6-week postnatal parenting group ‘Understanding your baby’.

Delivery

The Postnatal Parenting Group Train the Trainer is designed for any practitioner who wants to train other practitioners to be facilitators of the Togetherness postnatal parenting group.

‘Open training’ is delivered throughout the year for individual bookings to a cohort of up to 12 delegates.

‘Closed’ training is bespoke delivered for teams of staff of up to 12 individuals within an organisation with a relevant resource pack.

The Postnatal Parenting Group Train the Trainer can be delivered as ‘live virtual’ training or face-to-face training by Togetherness trainers, as required.

Responsibilities as a trainer

Once you have completed your training day, you will be a Togetherness trainer. When delivering training, our trainers are responsible for:

Ensuring that those delegates they train have previously attended the 2 Day Foundation Training and can provide the dates, location and trainers’ names of that training

Providing the Togetherness office with the dates and location of the Parenting Group Facilitators’ training and the names of those attending

Ensuring that those they train to be facilitators have their own copy of the relevant Parenting Group Facilitators’ Manual

Making facilitators aware of the need to provide data returns on their groups on this website

Resources

Delegates will require a Postnatal Parenting Group Facilitator Training Trainers’ Manual which will allow them to train others to facilitate either the Postnatal Parenting (universal) 6-week or Postnatal Plus Parenting 8-week ‘Understanding your baby’ group for parents.
