Togetherness is delighted to welcome Kate Lawler as its first celebrity ambassador, marking an exciting new chapter in the organisation’s mission to support parents and families across the UK.

For almost 30 years, NHS’ Togetherness has trained professionals working with children and families. Today, parenting is more complex than ever, with social media, AI, rising anxiety levels, and changing family dynamics creating new challenges for parents navigating modern family life.
The organisation supports parents through bite-sized online programmes that help them understand child development and the developing brain, respond to children’s emotions, and build long-term emotional resilience.
Kate Lawler is a well-known broadcaster and one of the UK’s most relatable parenting voices. Her honest reflections on motherhood have made her a trusted figure among parents seeking reassurance, support and practical advice.
Together with her husband, Martin Bojtos, she hosts the podcast Boj and Kate Have A Lot On Their Plate, where they discuss the realities of raising their five-year-old daughter, Noa.
As a mother who openly shares both the joys and challenges of parenting, Kate will help Togetherness reach more families seeking practical, evidence-based support in an increasingly complex world.
Kate said:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to be the first celebrity ambassador for Togetherness. Being honest and open about the challenges of parenting is incredibly important to me and I’m very excited to learn from their wonderful team of trained experts, share more of my journey and hear from others about theirs.
“The online bite-size programmes Togetherness provides can be followed easily online – wherever and whenever suits you to complete. They’ve already helped so many parents better connect with their children and understand their emotional wellbeing. My first job as ambassador is to spread awareness so that more parents can benefit from the support Togetherness provides.”
Dr Hazel Douglas MBE, Director at Togetherness, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Kate as our ambassador and can’t wait to begin working with her to support more parents and families.
“Relationships are everything for children, they help shape their emotional health. It is in the early years and throughout childhood and adolescence that children learn the skills to care for and protect mental health. Togetherness provides ideas and principles from psychology and psychotherapy in an accessible format to help parents to build their own confidence and support their children’s emotional health and development.
“Parenting is challenging, it’s confronting, and it’s an incredible emotional journey. Kate has supported thousands of parents already by sharing her honest personal reflections and creating space for others to be honest and reflective too. We look forward to working together with Kate to build a supportive community to help parents and their children.”
As part of the partnership, Kate will launch Togetherness’ latest online pathway, Understanding your child in a changing world.
The programme explores how children are growing up in an increasingly digital world, navigating identity, relationships and emotional development in a rapidly changing environment.
Kate will also take part in a series of media appearances ahead of hosting a live Q&A event this September. The session will bring together Togetherness experts and parents to discuss children’s emotional wellbeing and answer common questions about modern parenting challenges.
