Parenting is challenging, confronting, and an incredible emotional journey. It’s also a self-conscious experience, full of preconceptions about ‘the right way’ and the stigma of parenting programmes being only for ‘bad parents’. Effectively engaging parents in the essential conversations around parenting and relationships is a challenge reinforced by such stigma.

With all this to contend with, parents understandably appreciate a voice that is honest, refreshing and flawed. Addressing this issue, and the need to nurture a community of support and inclusion, Togetherness boldly appointed its very first celebrity ambassador in 2026. Our Togetherness goal is reaching more parents and families using our evidence-based approach, so it was a natural next step to join forces with one of the UK’s most relatable parenting voices to support parents. Kate Lawler is a well-known broadcaster whose honest reflections on motherhood have made her a trusted figure among parents seeking reassurance, support and practical advice. Together with her husband, Martin Bojtos, she hosts the podcast Boj and Kate Have A Lot On Their Plate, where they discuss the realities of raising their five-year-old daughter, Noa. Kate has supported thousands of parents already by sharing her honest personal reflections and creating space for others to be honest and reflective too. As a mother who openly shares both the joys and challenges of parenting, Kate is helping Togetherness reach more families seeking practical, evidence-based support in an increasingly complex world, becoming the parent-friendly face of a supportive community that listens and helps, without judgement. Kate has already helped to launch Understanding your child in a changing world, amplifying this and other pathways’ reach to her followers. This latest pathway explores how children are growing up in an increasingly digital world, navigating identity, relationships and emotional development in a rapidly changing environment, something she shares is close to her family’s hearts.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to be the first celebrity ambassador for Togetherness. Being honest and open about the challenges of parenting is incredibly important to me and I’m very excited to learn from their wonderful team of trained experts, share more of my journey and hear from others about theirs… My first job as ambassador is to spread awareness so that more parents can benefit from the support Togetherness provides.”

With the majority of life managed online and in the palm of our hands, and very little time for additional activities, parents want an easily accessible ‘village’ to call on when they need reassurance, guidance or solidarity. In response to the ever-changing challenges of the modern world and the informal communities so many of our Togetherness parents form when they meet at in-person parent groups, in 2026 we launched our first virtual community for Togetherness parents. Launched in September with Kate, Togetherness Parents is a safe space for all, at every age and stage of parenting with ‘togetherness’ – providing online access to a diverse community of parents and different experiences. With Kate as our celebrity ambassador, she sets a precedent for how the community can support each other – with honesty, curiosity and reciprocal support and advice. Advocating a ‘no judgement’ space and solidarity from other parents, we established the community to encourage learning together through sharing challenges and ideas, and to provide peer support. This group aims to complement the online learning tools already available, emphasising self-paced, personal learning.
